To use LabSand, simply empty the contents of one of the 300g bags in your LabSand kit into a clean cage or onto any desired surface. Allow the animal to urinate freely. After urination, collect the sample using a pipette and vial, or simply dip a testing strip directly on the suspended droplet which remains on the surface.

Step 1

Empty the contents of one or more 300g bags of LabSand sand onto a clean and dry surface. Just enough to cover the area will suffice to suspend the urine on the sand surface.

Step 2

Allow the animal to urinate freely on the sand. LabSand is single use and should only be used by one animal each time to avoid cross contamination.

Remove the animal from the sand and collect with a pipette and vial, or, dip a diagnostic strip on the suspended droplet.
